This is a key role
heading up one of the Care Groups within the Trust. The postholder holds a key position within
the senior management structure of the Trust, and in conjunction with the
Associate Director of Operations and the Care Groups Associate Director of
Nursing, is responsible for the leadership, management and delivery of the Care
Group.
The Care Group Director
is accountable for the planning and delivery of the range, quality and volume
of services comprising the portfolio of the Care Group within the governance,
performance and planning framework set by the Trust Executive Team and agreed
by the Trust Board.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
