Consultant In Public Health
The closing date is 15 June 2025
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join CDDFT and to work across the Durham and Darlington place based systems. This builds on the work underway to address healthcare inequalities and to ensure the unjust differences in health and care access, experience and outcomes across the population are addressed. This is a key role for the place based systems and will provide population healthcare leadership as well as support the Durham and Darlington system in their plans to improve their populations' health, tackle health inequalities, ensure efficient resource use, as well as the NHS contribution to addressing social determinants of health and economic regeneration.
The role will involve working in partnership with the current Public Health Consultant to lead and embed a population health and tackling health inequalities approach across the organisation and system. This role will play a key part in supporting integration of prevention, leading public health work programmes; and embedding a joined up approach to health and care across the two place based systems. It will involve advising and reporting on the agenda to Trust executive and senior leadership teams.
