the education and training of junior doctors and medical students for County
Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust? This is an excellent opportunity to
use your proven administrative and organisational skills to enable the
education and training of medical students and junior medical staff.
You will need to have excellent verbal and
written communication skills in order to establish strong working relationships
with colleagues, Resident Doctors, medical professionals and other NHS staff to
provide support and advice to all students and Doctors in Training, as well as
producing high quality training programmes in conjunction with the clinical
teaching team.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate and implement high quality administration
processes across the Trust in accordance with agreed priorities, which ensure
the delivery of Foundation and Specialty Training Programmes, in order to
support trainees and trainers in the delivery of education and training, to
support the terms of the Resident Doctor Contract (2016).
To support the work of the Guardian of Safe
Working, Tutors and Trainers associated with the delivery of the Resident Doctor
Contract (2016) and the management of associated committees and their
administration, quality assurance developments, primary care meetings and the
local Resident Doctors Forum.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
