Radiology is a busy department providing Xray, CT, MRI,
Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound services. We provide 24/7 diagnostic services to the
rest of the hospital using both specific Radiology IT packages alongside
Trustwide systems to provide integrated care.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic,
experienced Admin lead to join our
friendly team based within Radiology.
The succesful candidate should provide consistently
outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients and visitors, arrange
appointments, liaise with all involved in the Imaging process to ensure the
best service for our Patients.
Ideally you should possess excellent communication,
organisational and investigative skills and have a flexible approach to tasks
with experience working in a busy office environment.
In addition experience working within the NHS
would be advantageous
Main duties of the job
To provide effective and confidential administrative support
on a day-to-day basis for the clinical/admin teams within Radiology and to
ensure that their needs are fully met, by working within demanding time
constraints, prioritisation of own workload, with minimal supervision and
demonstrating ability to use initiative.
The post holder will be responsible for supervision and
coordination of the Administrative team at
Durham (UHND )
The post holder will need to be proactive,
flexible and responsive to the changing needs and demands of the organisation
and to support the smooth running of the services.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Organizing
training for staff members and monitor staff training records

and producing SOPs for admin work streams
