floor/functional bowel disorders and will allow involvement in researThe post

needs and the research outputs depending on this. This covers both clinical and research
components. Clinical duties will include
on call-rota (1:10) for General Surgery and 2 functional bowel clinics per week
supervised by Prof Yiannakou.
The Fellow will lead the joint pelvic floor MDMs
at Durham (Trust based) and attend the MDM at Newcastle (Regional). You will be able to request to undertake
other clinical commitments for his/her own development, as long as these are
agreed by all the supervisors and do not interfere with primary roles. You will part of a strong supportive

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral member of the Durham
Bowel Dysfunction Service, sharing in the value of the team and working closely
with other members. There is a strong

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
