The
Research and Innovation Department are looking for an enthusiastic and
motivated person to undertake the role of Senior Clinical Research Nurse /
Senior Clinical Research Practitioner.
We are a hugely enthusiastic team with a thriving research portfolio of
studies. Our work ranges from small scale observational studies to large scale
multinational clinical trials within a wide range of conditions. Our team
includes Clinical Research Nurses/Midwives/Practitioners, Data Assistants and
Research Facilitators.
The role will be 0.8 WTE
We work closely with our
clinical teams to offer CDDFT patients the opportunity to take part in
research, seeking new treatments and better outcomes.
We
are seeking applications from experienced research staff, who can demonstrate
leadership qualities, an in-depth knowledge of research processes and a
thorough understanding of research governance and the research landscape.
Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will be working in a leadership role and will be expected
to line manage the research delivery team at Darlington Memorial Hospital (DMH),
working closely with the senior clinical research professional at University
Hospital of North Durham (UHND).
Alongside line management
duties, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the
successful running of the R&I department as a whole, following the current
R&I Strategy.
The successful candidate
will be involved in decision making around research governance, business &
performance, and finance.
They will be expected to
liaise with the clinical teams regarding research involvement at all levels,
providing support and guidance to Principal Investigators and Chief
Investigators.
They will contribute
towards spotting positive opportunities for the R&I department to expand
their portfolio and improve their performance
They will be expected to
contribute towards annual events such as International Midwives' Day,
International Nurses' Day and International Clinical Trials' Day
They
will liaise with senior CDDFT nurses, midwives and managers to ensure adherence
to organisational policies and procedures
