enthusiastic staff nurse to join our team.
As a team we strive towards
delivering a high standard of care and this is reflected in the feedback we
receive from the patients and relatives who have had experience of being on our
ward.
We are a nurse led unit that provide in-patient
rehabilitation to a wide range of adult patients with complex and functional
needs. We also specialise in End of Life Care and Long term Conditions.
Patients are admitted from acute hospitals and the surrounding community.

Main duties of the job
Ward 1 is an 20 bedded elderly
rehabiltation ward. We accept patients
from the acute wards, direct from accident and emergency, direct from the
community, and from other
organisations.
The main duties of the role are:
-Plan and deliver high quality of
care to patients adhering to the trust policies and procedures.
-Maintain a high standard of
documentation
-Demonstrate excellent
communication skills both written and verbal
-Plan and deliver safe admissions
and complex discharges
- Be responsible for the
delegation of tasks to other members of the team
-Work well as a team player but
also show initative

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
