This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated
midwife, who matches the requirements of the person specification, to develop
their and their skills and become a part of our Community Team Leaders Team.
You would be based at either Shotley Bridge Hospital or Bishop Auckland
Hosputal (based on preference), but working clinically within associated Team
area's. The role requires an experianced Midwife who can provide evidence of
working within a Community Setting, extensive knowledge of Safeguarding Adults
and Children, and an ability to work with with wider stake holders.

You will be supported and welcomed into your
role here at CDDFT, with a development plan to allow you to develop into your
role. We are keen to develop highly trained Midwives, who deliver exceptional
care, to the families of County Durham and Darlington.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a midwifery leader who is committed and
passionate, taking responsibility for the coordination of care of the women
within 2 of our Community Midwifery Teams, and are able to escalate concerns in
a timely manner. We will take into consideration your skills and knowledge and
develop a plan with you as to how you can transition into your role. Safety of
our women and babies is paramount, and so we are looking for a highly skilled,
professional Leader to join our Team.
The post holder will carry team leader responsibilities which
will include allocation of workload, reviewing skill mix, ensurng safe staffing
levels, allocation of training and appraisals, roster planning to name but a
few activities. The post holder must be able to deal with unpredictable high
levels of clinical activity to include assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation of midwifery care in a safe environment.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
