Job summary

To provide clerical support to ward based clinical staff. Dealing with queries from patients, visitors and staff. Provide a comprehensive clerical/receptionist service within the ward/reception area. Liaise with GPs, patients, medical, nursing and support services within the Trust in a courteous and professional manner.

Main duties of the job

This job would involve supporting staff in the care of children and peoples young services within a ward clerk role. arranging appointmentsand elective care

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
