Due to an exciting investment in children's services within
County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, an exciting opportunity has
arisen for an experienced childrens nurse to work as a Band 7 Clinical
Educator for Children and Young people working across all sites at County
Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an
enthusiastic, dynamic experienced clinical paediatric nurse to support the
nursing team and the unit managers in
taking the CYP service forward. The successful candidate will be supporting new
ways of working, delivering high standards of care whilst having the
opportunity to expand their knowledge with all members of the MDT.
The post holder will need to show good
communication and teamwork skills while being able to work on their own
projects and developments. They must have excellent teaching and assessing
skills and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of clinical development in
nursing practise.
Main duties of the job
To develop and deliver education plans , competency based
training programmes and support activities relating to clinical nurse
education, training and development, and multi professional team working.
Collect, evaluate and analyse
data, and make judgements on the clinical implications of the evidence and
writing relevant reports and presentations in order to initiate change and
service improvement.
To work closely with the Patient
Safety and Governance Nursing team for Paediatrics and Neonates to ensure key
messages are shared and best practice is embedded in every day working.
Initiates and facilitates the development of programmes of
clinical care through dissemination of knowledge and effective educational
interventions within sphere of their influence.
To spend time working alongside
staff members clincally to develop their skills and knowledge in their
practice.
Acts as a role model to demonstrate the highest professional
standards.
Offer professional development advice to nurses, patients
and carers relating to
all areas of practice within the
