Interviews will take place on Monday 14th August in Meeting Room 2, Chester-le-Street Hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Administration Apprentice to work in the Clinical Governance Team within Community Services in County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.

We assist with all governance aspects for all District Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and 5 Community Hospitals.

This post is to provide an efficient and administrative support service to the dedicated team in accordance with the Trusts policies and procedures with the successful candidate working toward the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.

The role includes being the first point of contact for all telephone on behalf of the Governance Team

and the provide an administrative service to the Governance Team and the Care Group Senior Management using electronic diaries, data entry, filing, photocopying, taking telephone enquiries and conveying messages appropriately.

This position will be based at Chester-le-Street Community Hospital, Front Street, Chester-le-Street, DH3 3AT.

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Governance Administrator will provide administration/secretarial support to the Community Services Governance Team.

The successful candidate will undertake an NVQ Business Administration Level 3, have PC and keyboard skills, be able to work as a member of a team and have the ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Demonstration of aptitude towards Business Administration and to be committed to attaining the appropriate qualifications of the Apprenticeship.

Desirable would be for the candidates to have knowledge of computer packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Work within standard operating procedures/work instructions and relevant Policies and Procedures.
