Job summary

This post will be based in Hundens Lane, Darlington, taking referrals for the Community Services and RIACT and Darlington Care home team. The Clinical Admin Assistants post holder would be required to work with and support the teams with their clinical administration functions associated with the management of patients: accepting incoming tasks and referrals to the team, setting appropriate care plans. Using the autoplanner functionality within SystmOne to allocate the following days visits. Supporting the duty sister to review allocated visits and supporting any changes required to the visit lists.

Understanding of medical terminology and knowledge of electronic patient record systems such as SystmOne, along with awareness of customer service/ call centre processes such as NetCall liberty call handling solution are an advantage.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Participate and provide training around the electronic patient management system and functioning of the team in their area.

Provide and receive routine information requiring tact or persuasive skills; Provide and receive complex or sensitive information; Provide advice, instruction or training to the team Provide and receive complex, sensitive information; dealing with and understanding behaviours.

Client Group: Comprehensive portfolio of nursing, healthcare and case management services to primarily housebound patients requiring support in the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
