Job summary
There is an opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to join our expanding Trust wide Gynaecology
Diagnostic service. The post holder will be instrumental in providing support and information to
women undergoing diagnostic treatments (Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy).
The individual will also work closely with the gynaecology multidisciplinary team to provide services
which are patient focused and working within national standards.
Main duties of the job
Chaperoning Consultants/Practitioners during examinations.
- Supporting/advocating for patients during investigations/procedures
- Ensuring essential stock for clinics are readily available - i.e pharmacy orders
- Obtain patient observations/measurements
-Access to IT systems
-Work across sites
-Venepuncture
-Delgate duties within the team
-Supervising healthcare assistants
-Providing patients with information regarding procedures and investigation

To be eligible for Health and Care Worker visa sponsorship you will usually need to be paid at least £25,600 per year
We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
