Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint 3 motivated and dynamicService Support Managers to join our Medicine Division within the subspecialities of Neurology; Cardiology and Stroke. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency across urgent, emergency, outpatient, and elective pathways.

Main duties of the job

As a Service Support Manager, you will:

  • Provide management support to divisional colleagues and administrative teams.
  • Assist in achieving local and national performance targets, including patient access standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of service policies, projects, and strategies.
  • Collate and analyse data to drive service improvements.
  • Deputise for senior managers when required and represent the service at Trust-wide forums.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant previous administrative experience
  • Proven experience of report writing and analysing data
  • Experience of working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Experience of supervising and supporting colleagues

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of requirements in relation to patient waits
  • Experience of presenting reports and data
