In this exciting role, you'll work alongside experienced Physiologists to support the diagnostic pathway for patients referred for lung function assessment. You'll be part of a team that's passionate about delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes within the Trust.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally, 12 months' experience in an acute healthcare setting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workload

Main duties of the job

In this varied and hands-on role, you'll be involved in planning and performing a range of diagnostic assessments that are vital to patient diagnosis and treatment. You'll also carry out initial interpretations, helping to shape clinical decisions.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Spirometry and bronchodilator reversibility testing
  • Exhaled nitric oxide and impulse oscillometry (IOS)
  • Full pulmonary function testing
  • 6-minute walk tests

Supporting Sleep & CPAP ServicesYou'll work closely with our sleep physiologists to assist long-term patients in managing their therapy, offering guidance and care that makes a real difference to their quality of life.

Team Support & DevelopmentYou'll also play a key role in supporting fellow staff and students, helping them grow and thrive in their roles. Your input will contribute to a positive learning environment and a high-performing team.
