As Specialty Business Manager, you will lead an administrative team and work closely with a group of clinical professionals to deliver strong operational and financial performance for Theatres & Anaesthetics services.
Your skills will have been developed in an NHS environment and you will bring energy and a resilient leadership style to the management team. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to guide, direct and support your team and colleagues as circumstances dictate.

Main duties of the job
The Specialty Business Manager is responsible for the Theatre & Anaesthetic pathways within the speciality ensuring that all operational tasks are undertaken to deliver the Theatre Floor Plan and activity is monitored, tracked and delivered. Working knowledge and understanding of an Acute NHS Setting is essential and knowledge of Theatres and Anaesthetics would be desired.
Leadership and management will be a key objective in the efficient and effective running of Theatres, Anaesthetics and Pre op.
You will work in line with the Trust's corporate objectives and will be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision of health services.
You will be experienced in communicating with clinical/administration staff of all levels and will be expected to work in line with the Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care with compassion.
To provide effective line management and to effectively manage the budgets within the business unit.
