? As a valued member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of mothers and babies.? Experienced midwives will receive a comprehensive orientation to our service before joining our Band 6 rotation, while newly qualified midwives will be welcomed into our Band 5 preceptorship programme. Upon successful completion, you'll progress onto the Band 6 rotation, where you'll continue to grow and thrive in your career.

Main duties of the job

- Freestanding and alongside birth centres

As part of our team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Assisting and supporting the lead midwife in the safe and effective management of the area, including personnel, facilities, and associated systems.
Serving as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team, and the organization. Coordinating and delivering care through appropriate professional practice, delegation, and supervision. Ensuring a high standard of midwifery care is delivered based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with local and national standards and evidence-based guidelines. Setting, monitoring, and maintaining standards of care to enhance patient experience and outcomes. Proactively managing risk and maintaining patient safety in accordance with health, safety, and security legislation and guidelines. Communicating relevant information to the multidisciplinary team and external organizations to ensure seamless care. Promoting education and health promotion while advocating for equality in care and practice. Ensuring the care environment is safe, well-equipped, and compliant with hygiene and cleanliness standards.
