We will support the successful candidate to access development opportunities and wider training to help expedite the patient journey and make a tangible difference to our service and the wider Trust.

You will be working closely with departments across the Trust as a key leader encouraging Portering stakeholder engagement.

Please note, the interviews for this post are expected to take place the week commencing the 13th of January 2025, however this is subject to change due to winter pressures over the festive period.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Portering Services Manager will directly support and assist the Portering Services Manager in reviewing and operationally ensuring the safe and effective delivery of Portering Services to a high standard, implementing changes necessary. The role will involve contributing to the administration, professional development, leadership, retention, and motivation of our service staff and ensuring best value is provided to the Trust and external customers.
The role will involve occasional cross-site working at Royal Preston and Chorley hospital, however we do not require applicants to have a driving licence as they can use the trust's shuttle service that runs between both sites.
