Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to be able to offer multiple vacancies for Pharmacy Delivery drivers to come and join our fantastic team. The role is varied with opportunities to work across different delivery routes covering a variety of areas
The team are friendly, helpful and by all working together, we deliver a service that we are proud of.
You will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. We also require flexibility from individuals to sometimes work additional hours where they will be reimbursed with pay. Examples of this include where we have a large number of deliveries and also to cover annual leave.

Main duties of the job
On a typical day your first visit will be to Royal Preston Hospital outpatient pharmacy. From here you will then work with the other drivers and together plan your route for the day.We cover a variety of locations across the North West such as Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool, Clitheroe and Cumbria
Please note that pay will be £10.94 hourly not NHS band 2.

Duties to include but not be limited to:
- Plan a timely delivery route to provide the best service to patients at the minimum mileage and time
- Deliver medication to our patients whilst demonstrating a friendly demeanour
- Liaise with branch staff at the earliest opportunity if unable to make any delivery
- Ensure the security and integrity of medication whilst outside of the company premises
- Transfer stock between company locations
- Accurate and timely completion of administration relating to deliveries
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Drive and operate your vehicle safely and in accordance with the law and highway code
- Perform daily vehicle checks
- Work additional hours when required to support the team
