Job summary
Your role will be four days a week, with one day based at Chorley District Hospital and three days at Royal Preston Hospital, 8am - 4pm.
Core Therapies is a large and busy service with many teams sitting within it. You will have excellent customer service skills, prioritisation skills, enjoy being busy and working through various tasks each day to support both the patients and clinical teams.
As a service we are working very hard to become fully digital and an openness to accept changes and offer solutions is needed.

Main duties of the job
You will be providing an efficient and effective booking service to all patients who require Therapy support, face to face on reception, over the phone, text messaging system 'Envoy' and Outlook.
You will use Harris Flex to schedule appointments, manage Patient Initiated Follow Ups, cancellations and DNA's.
We have two locally based admin teams, one at Chorley Hospital and one based at Royal Preston Hospital. We cross site work and support each other as service pressures demand.
Our admin teams are very busy with the flow of patients and improving capacity and demand with cancelled and DNA appointments.

Your key relationships are;Core Therapies Performance Manager, Core Therapies Speciality Business Manager, Core Therapies Professional Leads, Core Therapies Clinical Leads, other Health Care professionals.
Main responsibilities are;
- Core Therapies clinic lists are fully utilised and patients are listed in accordance with Trust and department guidelines. Any issues with the utilisation of lists are escalated.
- Patient text reminder responses are dealt with promptly and appointments confirmed, cancelled or rescheduled as appropriate on Harris Flex.
- Using your skills of conflict resolution as necessary when dealing with patients.
- To promptly action referrals received into the Core Therapies Outpatient Services
- Liaise with external bodies such as other hospitals to obtain necessary information to process referral.
- To prepare all necessary post op paperwork to be sent with physiotherapy referral to other hospitals for out of area patients.
- Liaise with X-ray department regarding patients booked for Hydro- dilatation injection.
