Job summary

As a Project Support Officer for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Pathology Digital Team, your work will be varied and will be key to enabling transformation in pathology services across the area.

You will provide administration support to ensure that projects are delivered in the most efficient way, including diary management, mailbox management, forward planning, coordinating events, documenting meetings and plans and having an overview of the various projects' Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependency (RAID) logs.

Main duties of the job

Project Managemento Undertake information/project analysis as agreed with the digital project teams;o Contribute to effective information management within the team;o Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects to provide information/analyst advice and support and to maintain data collection systems for its effective use by the team;o Analyse and report on data and monitor the processing of data and information;o Provides information to project lead on project and statistical information matters.o Support the adoption of best practice project management methodology and support teams in the application of enabling tools and guidelines.

About us

You will be joining a new way of delivering the service as the four pathology departments across Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC) are working together as a Single service. This service will be responsible for the delivery of diagnostic pathology services to a population of over 1.7 million people. In order to deliver this service there will be investment in key digital systems in order to improve the efficiency and safety for the patients of the LSC area.A new laboratory information system (LIS) is being purchased to replace the four existing systems and a digital pathology solution will be procured and implemented alongside the LIS. Digital pathology is an exciting development that will enable LSC Pathology to change working practices, and most importantly improve the reporting times of critical cancer diagnoses.

you will be led by the senior digital lead for the service and report into the Programme Manager.
