Job summary

An opportunityhas arisen for Ward Clerks to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible individuals with excellent communication and administrative skills to work as part of the team.

You s will be responsible for greeting our patients, families, and visitors. IT skills are necessary and knowledge of Quadramed system would be beneficial, but training will be given. The successful candidates will enhance our team to maintain the highest standards of record keeping in line with data protection have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organisation.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional and courteous "front of house" service for all staff and visitors utilising the facilities provided by the unit at Lancashire Teaching Hospital, always acting in a professional and courteous manner. Respond to requests for information promptly and efficiently using a variety of communication methods, ensuring that Trust Customer Service standards are adhered to. Ensure information is accurate and meets Trust Standards regarding delivering information.

The wide variety of activities being undertaken by the Trust, mean that responsibilities have to be shared with other members of staff/immediate co-workers. Team working and collaboration are vital, as is a flexible approach to both working duties and hours worked.
