Main duties of the job
Interventional Radiology is an innovative hi-tech speciality where nurses can gain a wealth of experience and skills assisting with elective and emergency procedures performed using fluoroscopic, CT or ultrasound guidance.
As specialists in Interventional Radiology we are a highly autonomous nursing team. We admit and prepare patients for procedures, assist during the procedures in either scrub or circulate capacity, recover patients and safely discharge.
Arterial and venous procedures include angioplasty, fistulaplasty and vascular access.
Non vascular procedures include nephrostomy insertion, RIGGs & biopsies.

We are a small, committed, enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team consisting of nurses, radiographers and radiologists.
Working predominantly Monday -Friday, participating in an on-call rota once competent.
