Job summary
Due to maternity leave we are in a rare position to offer 2 x full time position within our team.
When you walk onto our Brindle Ward it feels so lovely and welcoming and indeed this is the feedback our staff and patients give us all the time. Our team cannot wait for you to join us and you will soon be thriving in this wonderful environment, playing your part in the care and support of our patients who really do need us to be at the top of our game.
We are a new team with a new vision however, coupled with this we have well-established staff with years of experience in this specialty and we believe this mix really makes us unique. Our work and our team spirit embodies everything we do, whether it's our regular training sessions or our many fun activities to entertain our patients, we do it as one team and it keeps us strong.
Main duties of the job
Brindle is a big unit - we have 30 beds and a fairly large surface area - but this adds real character to our workplace, we have two separate nurses stations which certainly helps us all achieve our 10,000 steps a day! You will also meet many staff from many of our services and will soon be friends with our dietitians, alcohol liaison team, speech and language, physio, OT, nutrition teams as we all play a role together in supporting our patients.
We don't mind if you have never worked with gastro or elderly medical patients before, we are more interested in your wider nursing skills, experience, behaviours and attributes, as only the best all round nurses will do for our patients and we don't apologise for that. We can teach you everything you need to know once you are here.
