Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hosting this post on behalf of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Provider Collaborative.

We are looking for exceptional and enthusiastic Project Support Officers to join the Lancashire and South Cumbria Elective Recovery Programme team to provide comprehensive programme and project administrative support. Applicants should have experience of working in a programme or project management environment, have excellent organisational and communication skills, be highly motivated and able to work flexibility.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive programme and project administrative support for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Elective Recovery Programme.

The role requires initiative, discretion, attention to detail and the ability to work with minimum supervision to deadlines.

Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills are essential to the success of this role. This post requires experience in a programme and project management environment.

You will act as first point of contact for enquiries regarding various improvement workstreams and programmes of work and resolve day-to-day problems independently.

Specific tasks include:

  • Support development of project tools / system to monitor delivery progress.
  • Support the monitoring of delivery progress and impact and keep systems up to date to ensure leads have the latest progress reports to ensure effective use is made of monthly project / programme meetings.
  • Liaise with identified operational and clinical leads to obtain updates.
  • Update progress reports as required.
  • Support development of project systems to collate and store evidence of progress made against agreed actions and keep up to date.
  • Keep up-to-date relevant dashboards as required.
  • Ensure accurate financial records are maintained for projects where applicable.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Clinical Networks.

About us

The Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC) Elective Recovery Programme was formed in the Summer of 2020 to support all acute Trusts to work on key actions within the National Operational Planning guidance, to provide clear direction and ensure a collaborative system-wide approach to managing elective recovery. Since this time the programme has evolved, now bringing system partners together to deliver a broad and exciting programme of work to support the achievement of nationally-set objectives and priorities and ensure long-term benefit from our transformational achievements to see sustainable and equitable access to services across LSC.

The programme team work extensively across the four acute Trusts in LSC and with wider system partners and drive improvements where there is a need and value of working together as one.

The LSC Elective Recovery Programme is high performing, delivering some excellent outcomes and achievements to date with an exciting programme of work to deliver going forward.

  • oDegree level qualification or equivalent level of knowledge attainted through a recognised Project / Programme Management training qualification and equivalent proven project experience.
