Job summary

#Team Crit Care are looking for enthusiastic, motivated sisters/charge nurses to join and lead our dynamic, supportive and innovative team, working in a new state of the art Critical Care Unit. A multi million pound project to expand to 34 beds and refurbish the existing unit has now been completed. This gives us an improved working and patient environment along with facilities and rest areas for relatives/carers.

If you have excellent team working and leadership skills, a post graduate qualification in critical care and have a strong drive to ensure a positive patient and relative experience, then this is the role for you.

Main duties of the job

As a Sister/Charge Nurse you will support the Unit Co-ordinator in the day to day efficient running of the clinical area, by providing strong leadership and direction to the team, monitoring and maintaining standards of care and professional practice. You will be responsible for ensuring the planning, delivery and evaluation of care to meet the personalised health and wellbeing care needs of critically ill patients, in line with the Trust's Values & Nursing & Midwifery Professional Framework. You will act as a strong role model and provide development, clinical supervision and advice for other staff and students to support them in reaching their full potential. To ensure the productive operation of the unit, you will ensure the clinical environment is maintained and deemed safe, clean and organised.

You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and service users. Shifts involve working a mixture of days and nights.
