This is an exciting time to join acute medicine as part of our expansion of our acute bed base working closely with ED.
This is a new unit designed to provide acute medical and nursing care at the front door pulling through patients from the ED ensuring they receive timely acute medical care. This is a fabulous opportunity for a dynamic, innovative and compassionate nurse leader.

Main duties of the job
You will ensure that safe and effective planning, implementation and monitoring of acutely ill patients with an expected length of stay up to 24 hours is provided for all patients. You willwork collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and provide safe and seamless discharge planning. You will be well supported by the new matron and deputy divisional nurse director as well as the valuable support working alongside the Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
The post holder will have recent experience of working at a senior nurse level and be able to demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in caring for acutely unwell patients with complex medical conditions.
You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to continuously develop the team as well as your own professional growth. Training opportunities will be tailored to your personal needs to enable your development into this challenging unit.
