Senior Research Therapists (Different specialties required)

Job summary

We are looking for GMMH based Counsellor/ CBT Therapist/ Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist or Arts Therapist interested in working as a research therapist for National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) funded project titled: 'A feasibility Randomised Controlled Trail (RCT) of creative group psychotherapy for adults with symptoms of depression (Arts for the Blues) in NHS Talking Therapies compared to Treatment as Usual (TAU)' The post will offer an opportunity to learn skills in creative group psychotherapy as well as to participate in NIHR funded evaluation of new psychological intervention. The post is for 3.5 hours per week over a 12 month period which could be added to existing part-time contract or used as secondment to full-time contracts. The therapists will be based across 5 GMMH Talking Therapies services including Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Wigan. The post will start as soon as therapists are recruited. Training in Arts for the Blues will be provided but some experience of using creativity in therapy as well as groupwork will be important for the role. Clinical supervision will be provided.
