Job summary

  • Managing a workload across Mental Health hospital wards - both adults of working age / PICU and older adults
  • Working across the multi-disciplinary team to provide physiotherapy support to the site.
  • You will have support from an on site Senior Physiotherapist

Main duties of the job

  • To provide a Physiotherapy service to clients with Mental Health needs across on older adult and adults of working age across inpatient wards with some outreach into community venues.
  • To manage a defined case load using evidence based and person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate Physiotherapy interventions
  • To encourage and advise on Health Promotion and the appropriate exercise options available.
  • To participate in the supervision of Physiotherapy support staff and student Physiotherapists on clinical placement.
  • To contribute to the day to day operational systems of the team and be flexible in working hours to ensure identified needs are met.
