We are seeking an Associate Director of Clinical Quality and Regulation to work in the Quality and Professions Directorate under the leadership of the Chief Nurse.

Core to this role is the portfolio for patient experience and patient safety, you will work with a highly skilled team to drive patient safety across GMMH and continue to improve how we hear from people who use our services, their carers and families as well as the communities we serve.

You will be a clinician who has a breadth of experience and knowledge in mental health services and understand the complexities of delivering clinical care across a multitude of services, you will lead specific portfolio work such as the interpretation of biological sex within the sexual harm agenda, ensure the QEIA processes are effective and ensure reports are provided in a timely manner to committees and groups.

The post holder will be responsible for Clinical Quality and Regulation which includes within the portfolio the delivery of the following functions Experience and Engagement, Patient safety (PSIRF), CQC compliance, Quality visits and accreditation processes, learning lessons, complaints and inquest activity across GMMH as a corporate service to the clinical care groups, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard.

The post holder will be responsible for Clinical Quality and Regulation which includes within the portfolio the delivery of the following functions Experience and Engagement, Patient safety (PSIRF), CQC compliance, Quality visits and accreditation processes, learning lessons, complaints and inquest activity across GMMH as a corporate service to the clinical care groups, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard.

You will deputise for the Chief Nurse on matters pertaining to quality and regulation. You will ensure the appropriate structures and processes in place to deliver on a well led clinical quality and governance portfolio. You will also participate in the strategic on call rota.

Education / Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree level qualification as a minimum requirement.
  • Evidence of active continued professional development to support the delivery of a clinical leadership role.
  • Professional clinical registration such as Registered Nurse (MH), OT, psychologist, medic.

Desirable

  • Masters degree qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience working at a senior level in clinical governance, risk and safety.
  • Post graduate qualification or experience in associated quality governance roles, for example patient safety, quality improvement or professional additional qualifications that demonstrate an understanding of clinical quality and safety requirements.
