Post: 1.0WTE Band 8B Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist (Permanent)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to work within our Trust, in partnership with Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO), to join an existing and well established clinical neuropsychology service to patients of the Community Neurorehabilitation/Stroke Services (CNRT/CST) in North Manchester. The post-holder will be based within North Manchester Community Services (with close links to other Clinical Neuropsychology services throughout Manchester and Greater Manchester) as part of a service level agreement between GMMH and the MLCO. You would be supported by the Consultant Lead for Neuropsychology in the Manchester Community Stroke/Neurorehabilitation pathways (who would also supervise the post holder). You would have the opportunity to deputise for the consultant lead at appropriate times.

Main duties of the job

Provision of a high-quality clinical neuropsychology service to North Manchester community stroke and neurorehabilitation teams

Consultation, teaching, training, supervision of non-psychology MDT colleagues

Continuing to support the development of the neuropsychology pathway, to ensure it is safe, effective and accessible to all who might benefit from it

Be committed to MDT working, and forge strong relationships with other team members and with service leads

Provide day-to-day support and supervision to a full time assistant psychologist

  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS
  • Registered Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC
  • Further training in neuropsychology (e.g. PG Diploma in Neuropsychology)
  • Clinical supervision training
