Job summary

To provide an efficient and effective administrative service with the Manchester Early Intervention Services (EIS) Team. To carry out all secretarial tasks in relation to the EIS role, audio typing, answering telephone calls to patients, relatives and various clinical staff and professionals to provide and efficient mental health service. Carry out a variety of tasks as directed by Community Admin Manager

Main duties of the job

  • To provide full secretarial support to the EIS Teams, including the production of letters, reports, photocopying documents, filing as required, and making full use of all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Input and retrieval of data to the patient administration system
  • Ensure that PARIS or other systems case notes, correspondence, files etc are accurately maintained and available as required by the Team
  • Taking minutes of meetings as directed by the Office Manager
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries, the taking and relaying of messages and actioning as appropriate.

  • Preparation of case notes for clinicians/retrieval of and scanning and uploading of all relevant documentation

  • English GCSE or equivalent C* or above
  • NVQ or equivalent in Secretarial or Administration
  • Previous experience using Secretarial software packages such as AMSPAR
  • Previous experience using digital software such as Microsoft Word

Desirable

  • More than 1 years NHS experience
  • Experience in diary management
  • Ability to commute between other EIS locations
