Cavendish Ward is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic, and passionate Band 5 Nurse to join the team to cover a fixed term period of maternity leave. Cavendish Ward provides care, assessment, and treatment to males predominately over the age of 65 years with either an organic or functional illness.Cavendish Ward is located at Laureate House, which is based on the site of Wythenshawe Hospital
Professional development, whether a preceptee or not, is a key priority here on Cavendish Ward and the postholder would engage in an appraisal to identify areas of interest and development and be supported with further training whenever possible.

Main duties of the job
The postholders would be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team providing care to our service users and being a key contact for our relatives and carers. Daily tasks would include attending and leading handovers, medicines management, care planning, risk assessing, attending and contributing to board rounds and multi-disciplinary team meetings, and supporting junior staff members on shift.
