Job summary

Work as part of our fast-paced, autonomous and supportive team at HMP Manchester.

We are looking for a qualified mental health nurse with experience of working with adults in a mental health setting to join our in-reach team at HMP Manchester. It will be advantageous if you have previous experience of forensic settings, the community as a CPN or have a keen interest in working in these areas.

The post holder will be working as part of our passionate multi-disciplinary team supporting prisoners with a spectrum of mental health issues including those experiencing mental health crises. This post involves working within the prison and actively participating and sharing the diverse multi-cultural caseload.

We are committed to ensuring our services and structures reflect the diverse communities of Manchester and strive continually develop and improve services to this end. The post holder will have an understanding of the nursing process and use this to sign-post, refer and discharge to other agencies and teams.

The service operates over 7 days, including bank holidays. The post holder will be supported with the security checking procedure (Counter terrorism Clearance) to enable them to work in a High Secure Environment.
