The North Manchester Early Intervention for Psychosis Team is delighted to be able to offer a full-time permanent post for a housing and welfare rights officer.
The Manchester Early Intervention for Psychosis Service is divided into three teams covering the city: north, central and south. This post will be based in the NORTH team - Central Park, however you will be expected to cover part of the central teamas part of the role.
You will work alongside a team of passionate and experienced colleagues and will be supported by the Clinical Team Manager and Senior Practitioner.
This post is a full time position (37.5 hours per week). The Team is currently operational Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but flexible working can be discussed.
Main duties of the job
The role will include supporting and promoting service users to:
- Access income and benefits
- Reduce debt
- Secure housing and support in the transition into new tenancies and housing
- To live more independently and maximise success of independent living
Attendance at groups run by the service to support service users and carers with information and advice.
