Job summary
The Receipt & Distribution Supervisor plays a key role in the effective operation of the Trust's central stores at Prestwich, ensuring the smooth receipt, control, and distribution of goods and stock across the organisation. This role supports both the Estates & Facilities and Procurement teams by delivering a high-quality, cost-effective service that meets operational needs.

Main duties of the job
The postholder is responsible for supervising a team of distribution staff, managing rotas, conducting appraisals and supervisions, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure best value and product quality. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the role demands strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to health and safety compliance.
This position requires a proactive approach to stock control, logistics coordination, and continuous service improvement, contributing directly to the Trust's ability to maintain a safe, functional, and well-supported environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
