Cashier and Reception Supervisor

Job summary

To provide cashiering functions to Laureate House. To provide reception management and supervision. Administration of petty cash for South Manchester Services. To carry out all administrative tasks in relation to answering telephone calls to patients, relatives and various clinical staff and professionals to provide an efficient admin service. Carry out a variety of administrative tasks as directed by Admin Manager.

Ensure that sufficient stocks of stationery are available to meet the needs of the team without resorting to stockpiling. Ordering clinical supplies as and when required. Arrange safekeeping of patient's properties/ money.

Provide cover for colleagues during times of sickness and annual leave.

Main duties of the job

Responsibility for dealing with patients' monies and property in accordance with procedures laid down by the Finance Department.

Paying travel expenses to patients entitled because of their benefit or as requested by the Consultant if it is deemed necessary as part of their treatment.

Administration of petty cash system supporting the teams and community areas.

Provide admin support to the clinical team

Providing assistance with the Records Library when required, to assist with housekeeping with case note records, filing and photocopying as and when required.

Liaison with benefits office, regarding patients benefit payments and informing Social Security of patient overnight leave, as and when required.

To provide a supervisory role to receptionist and apprentices, this will include ensuring adequate cover is arranged for reception areas.

Dealing with all incoming and outgoing mail, processing, distributing and responding within limits

Ensure that sufficient stocks of stationery are available to meet the needs of the team without resorting to stockpiling

Co-ordinate and facilitate the dissemination of information to and from the team.

Dealing efficiently, precisely and courteously with telephone callers

Ensure appointment booking system is maintained effectively
