Health Care Support Worker - SS

Job summary

By collaborating closely with the registered nurse and an identified member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will deliver essential routine care and assistance to enhance the well-being of those in their care.

In addition to providing direct support, the post holder will actively promote therapeutic activities on the ward. This initiative will be carried out under the guidance of the nursing team and in partnership with the medical team, occupational therapist,psychology team, recovery workers and patient flow team, ensuring that each individual receives tailored interventions that contribute to their recovery journey.

Through this collaborative approach, the post holder will help create a nurturing atmosphere that encourages personal growth and healing.

Main duties of the job

Role Summary

The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the team, working under the guidance of Registered Nurses and other health professionals. You will provide routine care and support to people with mental health issues. You will promote and engage patients in therapeutic activity. You will promote the dignity and independence of our patients. You will ensure the safety of our patients completing safe and supportive observations.
