Job summary
Bolton CAMHS is looking for a motivated individual to undertake the role of Engagement and Participation workerto work within CAMH services across Bolton with young people and their families.
The role will involve:
- Supporting young people and their families ensuring they are actively involved in the development and delivery of services which affect them.
- To support young people to directly identify the issues which affect them and to support them to appropriately self-advocate to have their voices heard.
- To support young people to be able to engage in service development and staff interviews.
- To be approachable to enable young people to discuss their worries and to be able to consult with young people regarding support groups and campaigns, for example Pride.
- To work with partner organisations to develop and maintain a range of ways in which young people can engage.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the CANHS Team in Bolton. The post holder will be expected to be proactively engaging our young people and their families in order to promote positive relationships.
The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours a week which is 9-5 Monday to Friday, however some occasional evening/weekend working may be requested depending on requirements of the role.
