Job summary
The main purpose of this post is to support the HR Advisory team to provide specialist advice on all employment matters relating to all staff and the provision of a high quality, proactive and efficient HR service.To assist in providing a comprehensive, pragmatic and well-informed Human Resource Management support service to Managers and Staff within the Trust. In particular, the focus of this role is supporting the Care Groups to manage their sickness cases in line with the Trusts Policy and best practice.
The post-holder will also be required to provide advise on the application of Trust policies and procedures and employment legislation, monitor professional registrations, fixed term contacts, respond to Subject Access Requests, and provide administration support to Job evaluation panels.
Main duties of the job
The HR officer will work in the People Absence and Wellbeing Support (PAWS) team, a sub team within the HR Advisory Team, and will focus on providing wellbeing advice and support to colleagues and managers on workforce related themes such as sickness. The postholder will be aligned to a care group and will carry a case load of long and short term sickness and will act as a point of reference to provide advice for queries on terms and conditions of employment, including salary, annual leave,sick pay, maternity leave etc
