An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Rotational Pharmacy Technician.
This is a rotational role and requires working between Prestwich Hospital and other GMMH sites in across Manchester.
The role will involve a wide range of duties to include medicines reconciliation, accuracy checking ,dispensing and carrying out audits.
This post is full time and allows you to develop your current skills within the field of mental health in a fully supportive environment. Flexible working would be considered.
Due to the nature of this role, the ability to travel between sites is required.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for provision of technical service to designated wards and departments, ensuring continuous supply of medicinal products to patients within the trust
- Accurate use of the Pharmacy IT System to supply constant data on drug expenditure and trends across the directorates within the Trust
- Participation in accuracy checking of dispensed items.
- Participation in ward-based duties to include medicines reconciliation, assessment of PODs and liaising with other
- healthcare professionals to gather relevant information on current medication and compliance status of newly admitted patients.
- Participate in service developments to improve patient care and or increase efficiency.
- Provision of a quality service and maintenance of high standards of skills without direct supervision.
Undergo and successfully complete within agreed time periods, formal in-house training as appropriate for personal and professional development.
