Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFT

The closing date is 03 June 2025

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist with enthusiasm and interest in working with older people to join a friendly and supportive memory assessment service. The post is advertised at Band 8a, though we strongly encourage psychologists in clinical training or those working at Band 7 to apply for the post on a preceptorship basis.

Main duties of the job

The psychology resource within Bolton Memory Assessment Service consists of a Principal Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist and trainees on placement, who are all a core part of the wider service MDT. We have good links with the Northwest clinical psychology training programs and Northwest FPOP. The postholder would also have links with the wider Older People's psychology service in GMMH. As a group we meet twice annually for continuing professional development, as well as other regular forums, and opportunities for further training are encouraged and supported.

A detailed overview of the job description and main responsibilities is outlined in the documents attached.
