Job summary

To support the Information Governance Team in the delivery of a high-quality service by:

  • Co-ordinating and administering the FairWarning system.
  • Helping to deliver IG awareness across the Trust via input to monthly communication strategies.
  • Delivering IG training to staff members across the Trust.
  • Working collaboratively across the Trust to support the annual submission process of the Data Security and Protection (DS&P) Toolkit.

Main duties of the job

  • To carry out the duties required to successfully administer the Trusts FairWarning system.
  • To maintain a strong working knowledge of IG principles and good practice.
  • To act as a source of advice on general information governance issues, asking for support as and when required.
  • To support the production of the Information Governance Audit Committee Report to the Trust Board (and other reports as required).
  • To create reports as required to demonstrate compliance in the annual Information Governance training.
  • To contribute to the delivery of IG audit work programmes, working with key operational colleagues to ensure that accurate audit results are achieved.
  • To assist in the production of IG promotional and training materials.
  • To plan daily activities in-line with IG objectives and timescales including responding to requests for FairWarning support etc.
  • To attend meetings and take minutes of Information Governance groups and other forums as required.
  • To organise IG related meetings and events.
  • To work closely with and support operational colleagues to close gaps regarding compliance with information governance standards.
