Job summary

It is an exciting time to join GMMH's Addictions Network. Recent developments and investment have resulted in us being able to offer multiple positions across a range of disciplines and entry levels.

Achieve Treatment and Recovery Services provides support for people experiencing problems with drug and alcohol use across Bury, Bolton, Salford and Trafford. We are an NHS led service, working with multiple agencies in a unique partnership model. This partnership model enables us to work with patients in a holistic way focusing on the person and not the "problem".

We currently have multiple vacancies within our teams including qualified nursing and non-qualified clinical roles, Recovery Coordinators, assessment workers and support staff.

We are seeking to recruit three Registered Nurse Associates (RNA) who will work at Achieve Bolton, Achieve Bury or Achieve Trafford, but there will be a requirement to work across different sites. The successful candidates will have a varied role in the clinical teams supporting the physical health agenda by providing a range of clinical interventions to support service users on their recovery journey and will also provide clinical duty cover. Clinical interventions that the RNA will provide as part of their role include venepuncture, ECG's and vaccinations. The RNA will provide harm reduction advice and interventions such as blood borne virus testing.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurses to assess, plan, organise and deliver clinical care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s).

The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The Nursing Associate role is the bridge between Health Care Support Workers and Registered Nurses they will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within all aspects of the clinical process.

Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, values and behaviours relevant to employment; will work to the current a nationally recognised Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and must meet the NMC standards of proficiency, high quality, cost effective, professional and clinical governance evidence based practice.
