The MHTR is intended for the sentencing of people convicted of an offence(s) which is below the threshold for a custodial sentence and who have a mental health problem which does not require secure in-patient treatment. An MHTR may be applied to a Community Order or Suspended Sentence Order in cases where a court is satisfied that a defendant is experiencing mental health issues which are treatable in the community, and where suitable treatment and support is available to enable the MHTR to be delivered in the community.

The Team Manager will provide line management and support to the team working closely with the team Clinical Lead. The manager will work collaboratively and support integrated working across the criminal justice system and wider health and social care pathways.
