At the Chapman Barker Unit, we are looking for 4 x Band 3 Support Workers who are passionate about nursing and helping others into recovery!

You will be part of the Addictions Service and will have opportunities to network with other specialist services on the Prestwich Site.

The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern, including nights and weekend work.

Main duties of the job

To promote Recovery around addictions. To support patients during their inpatient detox by monitoring withdrawals and escalate any concerns as appropriate.

To assist with the implementation and delivery of individual care plans, undertaking delegated clinical care duties, under the direction of registered staff.

To work as a member of the team with the support and supervision of a registered nurse and in line with the policies and procedures agreed by the Trust.

Support patients to maintain their interests, identity, appearance, emotional and physical well-being whilst receiving various forms of care, observing and reporting any changes to the nurse in charge. Promote and support patients/clients' rights, beliefs and choices whilst on the ward/department, taking into account issues of diversity and cultural needs.

To provide personal care to patients in accordance with their individualised care plan in a respectful manner, showing proper regard to their right to privacy and dignity.
