Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist for Health & Justice Psychological Services
GMMH Health and Justice Services wish to recruit a committed, dynamic psychological based nurse therapist with a strong MDT background to work within HMP Forest Bank mental health team.
Main duties of the job
The primary role of the psychological senior clinical nurse specialist will be to work in a clinically responsive manner with service users presenting with high level complex needs, as an interface between nursing and psychological provision, as part of the wider prison based mental health team. The clinical population of HMP Forest Bank includes those with a wide variety of confirmed and unconfirmed diagnosis including personality disorder, serious mental illness, and neuro-diverse needs. Your assessment, formulations, and interventions will be driven by a strong understanding of the impact of developmental and complex trauma and the impact this has on the development of personality and interpersonal behaviours. The post-holder will also support the development and facilitation of model specific intervention pathways, such as DBT, CBT, SFT and CFT. It would be expected that the successful candidate would access further additional therapeutic training opportunities as required by the service to compliment the role (e.g. DBT, EMDR) in order to enhance the provision of psychological based intervention at HMP Forest Bank whilst undertaking their role.
