Job summary

We are excited to welcome applicants to join our new Living Well teams across the City of Manchester.

Living Well is a new service, co-designed by people with lived experience and key partners, designed to bridge the gap between existing primary and secondary care services. Working in partnership with GMMH and VCSE organisations it will offer a service which is trauma informed, holistic, person led and community based.We are committed to doing things differently and trying new things.

Main duties of the job

This advert is for an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Practitioner (MH Nurse, MH Social Worker, OT - other professional qualifications considered) who wants to try a new way of working and is dedicated to caring for service users. There are three roles available - one for each of North, Central and South Manchester. Location preferences will be discussed at interview.

We take flexible working seriously and are keen to have flexible working discussions with any applicant.

We are especially keen to welcome applicants with lived experience to this post.

Selection processOur selection process will have two parts:

  • We will be inviting shortlisted applicants to a Getting to Know You Session on Thursday 17th August 2023. This will be part of the formal selection process and will operate as a session to meet with key stakeholders and people with lived experience and to see how applicants fit within our beliefs and values.
  • Candidates who are successful at the first stage will be invited to a more formal interview the following week.

Manchester Living Well will initially begin as a prototype (one in each locality) so you need to be prepared to try new things, evaluate and learn as you go along.
