Job summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Rough Sleeper Drug & Alcohol service in Bolton as the Lead Nurse for the Borough has become available.
The RSDA service has now been established for over a year and has promoted a person centred, assertive outreach model to engage service users who may otherwise not be able to access or engage in substance/alcohol assessment and treatment.
The applicant will have lead nursing responsibilities within the Bolton service, however, there will also be a requirement to cover both Bolton and Salford services at times.
The post holder will work alongside the Multi-Disciplinary Team with managerial responsibilities such as line management supervision and chairing MDT meetings as well as clinical responsibilities including detoxification/rehabilitation assessments and coordination, substitute prescribing, BBV testing, naloxone promotion and physical health monitoring.

Main duties of the job
The post holder should be able to demonstrate their leadership qualities and experience and have an understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting substance users and potential barriers to accessing services.
The post holder will have knowledge of the homelessness agenda, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with service users, their families and significant others by using motivational, trauma informed approaches to building trust and to engage this hard to reach group into meaningful treatment.
