Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly skilled BABCP accredited CBT practitioners to join our Programme Teams as supervisors and clinical tutors on our Postgraduate Diploma CBT programmes. The GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre is renowned for providing high-quality training to students in CBT and other evidence-based psychological therapies across the North West region and beyond.
Over the last 15 years the Training Centre has been extremely successful in securing national funding to deliver Postgraduate Training in CBT, in conjunction with the University of Manchester, as part of a number of major national projects to improve access to Psychological Therapies, including those in adult Primary Care (NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety & Depression, formerly known as IAPT), and Adult Secondary Care services (Psychological Therapies for Severe Mental Health Problems).
These training programmes have been highly effective in training new CBT therapists and helping services work towards meeting the Department of Health targets for the psychological workforce, and for the delivery of evidence based psychological interventions.
We warmly welcome applications from people from disadvantaged and under-represented groups as we strive to contribute to a workforce that better represents the community it serves.
Main duties of the job
To provide highly specialised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy supervision for mental health staff on Post Graduate Diploma programmes.
To assist in the delivery, development and evaluation of the training programme.
